My last post of 2017. I'll be back to post an even thinner ratings list sometime next week.

I'm going to make this the last full ratings post of the year. I'll post some numbers next week, but I guarantee it won't be before Wednesday. I don't know how extensive the delays will be. I'll be back at full capacity by January 9th.

The list is heavily weighed by CW shows reaching their fall finales over the last week. I may be able to squeeze out one more list for the year next week, but it's too early to say that definitively.

There are a lot of multiple episode shows on the list. That's why it appears unusually long this week.

I think there will only be another two weeks of these blurbs posts. I'll continue to post the lists that go underneath, but you will see the number of shows on it drying up quickly.

Going with a lot of cable shows this week. Holding off on the unmentioned broadcast shows because almost all of them should be wrapping up their fall seasons over the next 2-3 weeks.

Pretty boring week. A lot of shows are gearing up for their winter and season finales.

Still not quite 100%, but I'm back enough to at least be able to put a list together.

I'm feeling a little under the weather today and outside of a couple of noticeable drops and one premiere, there wasn't much to discuss in terms of ratings this week.

The Walking Dead may be down, but when you have broadcast networks continuing to air shows with demos of 0.2-0.4 on nights not named Friday or Saturday, you can't really complain about a 5.0 demo on cable.

It's a CW heavy list this week with the biggest ratings surprise of this early season included.

The big premiere wave is almost complete. This week, The CW rolls out their lineup.

There are still quite a few veteran shows left to return, but don't expect any of them to come back with stellar ratings. The theme seems to be that they are holding from their spring numbers and remain vulnerable to further decline.

No major shockers so far with the premieres and finales on this week's list.

I was expecting to bring the full list back next week, but it's here early. The list this week is mostly jammed with cable finales and I took the opportunity to give some thoughts on recent cable premieres. It will be hard to squeeze those in with the broadcast season officially arriving next week.

Outside of the two weeks around Christmas and New Years, you don't often get two consecutive weeks where the ratings are delayed. Last week was for the Labor Day holiday. This week was because of Hurricane Irma.

It seems like Power is the only show to emerge unscathed from the holiday weekend. Starz made a good move by opting to wait a week to air the finale.

Game of Thrones set series highs for HBO on Sunday. Meanwhile, the VMA's were no match in comparison.

Project Runway got off to a good start. Real Housewives of Dallas and Baller Wives faded in week 2 and networks seem to believe that enough time has passed to officially have Jersey Shore nostalgia (Ratings for the E! special are in the post. Also, VH1 announced today that they are basically making their own Jersey Shore spinoff).

Baller Wives had a decent premiere showing. The same cannot be said for Real Housewives of Dallas. The people behind Nashville will at least have some time to work on the show and see if they can try to captivate a few more former fans to give next season a second chance.

The premiere for Dance Moms is a bit low. It is my understanding that the show was forced to make changes this season just for the show to be viable (as in replacing the main star because the main star has to serve time in jail). Perhaps the network is prepared to weather the storm and deal with whatever comes their way (much like how Bravo did with Real Housewives of New Jersey a few years ago). I will also note that those finale numbers for Basketball Wives are higher than the last LA finale, but slightly lower than the last Miami finale. Overall, the show will probably get renewed because VH1 put the show in a position where it would be nearly impossible for the show to fail.

Another straight list this week. I guess I will offer a few passing thoughts on a couple of shows. Power looks strong and it is holding up well against Game of Thrones. Signed can't afford to lose too many viewers, but I don't think it is in the dead zone at the moment. Finally, I still believe that VH1 is looking to move Daytime Divas to another network rather than outright renewing or canceling the show.

I had enough here to do a full post today. Probably won't do one next week. I think the premieres and finales are going to trickle in for the rest of the summer.

It is stunning and fascinating how a show beginning its seventh season with a specific end-date already set continues to set new ratings highs. While it isn't a ratings record for a cable show premiere/return this year, you have to give Game of Thrones a ton of props for absolutely delivering on all of the restless hype that built up since the end of last season. I am also impressed with how well the other Sunday shows (specifically Power and Real Housewives of Potomac) held up against it. There are quite a few pleased networks this week.

I suppose the biggest thing that sticks out to me on this list is that Big Brother seems to be off to a good start this season. I also think the RHOC opener seems a little low, but nowhere near close to being in alarming territory. It will probably inch up as the season wears on.

I could have done a full list, but the delays were brutally long and I don't have much to say other than Pretty Little Liars had a good run and it will be a little fascinating to see if it will actually take years before Freeform is able to find another new solid hit show.

The list returns at least for this week because there were a lot of premieres and finales over the weekend. Throw in an awards show and we have a list. Also, to update something from last week, AMC renewed Better Call Saul today.

Switching the format to a past time before this blog. The change is temporary though. I'll do the 10 blurbs as I have 10 shows to talk about, but I don't expect it to get more active until September. We'll see how active July gets. Cable networks tend to love premiering shows in July. It just doesn't make sense to do a full list this week when the only new thought I have to share is how it seems weird that AMC hasn't renewed Better Call Saul yet. The ratings are certainly deserving of another season (It's either #3 or #4 on the network. The 2 Walking Dead shows are obviously at the top. My hesitation at calling this show a sure #3 is because of AMC's weird scheduling of Into the Badlands. That show gets a ratings bump from airing behind The Walking Dead for a couple of weeks that could inflate the average to be higher than this show).

Super slow week, but I managed to squeeze 10 shows out of the deal.

The summer season is here and I may have to take a few weeks off. It will depend on how slow things get in the TV world.

The summer season has officially begun, but we're still in the midst of the year of final season shows.

This is one of those rare days where I have been so busy that it's the middle of the afternoon and I'm just about at the point of exhaustion (This thing here is the reason why. Buy a copy. You've spent a dollar on worse).

As far as this list goes, the only confirmed bubble show cancellation is 2 Broke Girls. There is still one show with an undecided fate (Chicago Justice) and one confirmed final season show (Scandal).

The list features yet another series finale and a bunch of random cable shows. Next week's list promises to be much more broadcast heavy as the fate of all of those undecided broadcast shows will finally be settled.

I had to go cable heavy on the list this week. I may have to do the same next week. It all depends on how close to the deadline that the broadcast networks wait to renew their bubble shows. Typically, all you need to know is that ABC tends to be the last network to announce their renewals and cancellations.

You might not notice it yet, but the list is getting shorter. It will keep getting shorter and at that point, I may need to consider taking a summer break.

This is a very active time of year. The broadcast shows are winding down while the cable networks are beginning to make their moves to set themselves up for a big summer push.

This is a Bravo heavy list and while there are no known series finale shows on the list, I can't confidently say that there isn't one on the list either.

Two series finales are the main story this week.

This week's post is loaded with premieres, returns and finales along with a couple of shows sprinkled in to bring the list to 10.

After being delayed by 2 days last week, an hour doesn't seem all that bad this week.

Some weird outage at Nielsen has kept the ratings delayed for days. At the time of this post, everything isn't caught up yet. I have what I need to post numbers for last week, but I have no idea if the delays will continue into next week.

Back after a mini break. Feels good to actually have stuff to say this week.

I don't usually load up the list with finales (specifically finales preceding reunion shows) and specials, but I'm doing this week because I'm taking the next 2 weeks off. I'll update the ratings posts during my time off.

I'm usually more enthusiastic about the Super Bowl, but I think the archives of this site show that I am never here for the Patriots winning anything.

The Monday numbers were delayed a little, but they are here now.

For a moment, I thought I was going to be really late with getting this up. Instead, I'm on time. I will say that I didn't quite catch the full total viewers for Grimm and The Vampire Diaries this week.

An extra day only made me more sluggish this week.

I'm finally back from my break that didn't turn out to be a break because I spent at least half of it being sick and another 2 weeks of it having computer issues. Hopefully, I'm still sharp at this.
