Ratings: June 23rd-29th, 2020


Someone had to be first in trying to see how awards shows can operate in a pandemic. Can't say it was a success for BET, but someone has to try. For now, it appears MTV will try to hold the VMA's in person in August, and I'm not sure they can or should be confident about keeping their word on that.

Things are all quiet on the television front this week and I don't anticipate that changing for at least a few more weeks.

Ratings: June 9th-15th, 2020


There really isn't anything remarkable to say this week. It appears the networks are trying to resume some sort of filming schedule now that most of the lockdowns have been lifted, but it's still a very unpredictable situation and some networks are beginning to show how empty their original content benches are.

Ratings: June 2nd-8th, 2020




The big news over the last week are the announcements of people exiting shows (specifically Legends of Tomorrow and Vanderpump Rules). Cast changes are normal and happen for a variety of reasons, good and bad, but these days it gives people something to talk about because no one knows when these shows will actually return.

TV just doesn't seem important this week. I won't speak on events of the day here because my feelings are strong and I've struggled to put them into words. I want to, but I'm not sure I can and making a partial statement won't get that heavy feeling off my chest.
