This weekend is supposed to be the unofficial start of summer and we would usually have an idea what the networks are planning for fall. As of this post, ABC and NBC still haven't announced any definitive plans. FOX and CBS plan to launch in the fall, but with a schedule heavy with returning shows. The CW says they will not launch their new season until January 2021 and they will fill the fall with reality shows, specials, the final handful of Supernatural episodes and international series.

The numbers and TV news was pretty boring last week, but networks are making the effort to do what they can to finish out the seasons of these shows.

The next 10 days are going to be very bizarre in the TV world. Next week is normally the week of the Upfronts. Most networks have opted to either cancel their presentations, delay them, or stream them online. Understandably, there is no one appropriate way to figure out how to do a presentation. It is also very hard to commit to shows when production is shut down across the board. There are no guarantees that filming will resume in July or August. There are no guarantees that shows can premiere in September and October. No one knows anything. So there may be some news of networks deciding at least if they are sure they want to cancel shows or announce final seasons, but I don't think anyone can promise a flurry of broadcast TV news over the next week. It might happen, or not.
