There are a lot of multiple episode shows on the list. That's why it appears unusually long this week.
1. Supergirl (1.810 million 0.5)- This came back down to typical levels after the big crossover last week, but I expect to see the same kind of drop with Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow as well (I exclude the Flash because it was the closest to its normal numbers). The show looks to still be safe and it goes into the winter break with nothing to worry about.
2. Vanderpump Rules (1.393 million 0.6)- I am finding it incredibly odd how more networks are embracing December premieres, but it is far less problematic for a show’s future if a cable network does it over a broadcast network (particularly cable networks that thrive on reality shows). This appears to have come in with normal numbers. As long as the show doesn’t drop too much, it should be fine.
3. Real Housewives of New Jersey (1.156 million 0.4)- This show just floats around on Wednesday nights. It’s still a decent performer, but I think the fact that it is second to last among main Real Housewives shows is getting overlooked. Bravo essentially went into panic mode when New York spent a few seasons pulling these numbers on Wednesday nights. This show was rocked by major cast changes, a brutal hiatus and general uncertainty to the point where it may have lost its original identity. Some changes may need to come to the show at the end of the season if they want to see some improvement.
4. Tamar & Vince (593,000 0.2)- This came back a little sluggish from Thanksgiving break, but it is not the most troubling result coming from WE last week (see #9).
5. Little Women Dallas (554,000 0.2)- I think the fact that Lifetime is choosing to air a two hour reunion tomorrow instead of splitting the episodes up over two weeks is just an admission that they are ready to get the season over with and spend some time thinking about things. The numbers really have not been great this season and I’m sure they are hoping that the next season of Atlanta can rebound from its own slump.
6. Project Runway (893,000 0.2)- Networks love doing reunion shows for their successful reality shows. They can be hit or miss. Some networks have success with them while other networks struggle. That won’t stop anyone from doing them. The chance that it works will continue to be enticing.
7. Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party (10:00 601,000 0.3; 10:30 530,000 0.3)- I thought it was strange that they aired two episodes last week and I took it upon myself to go look up the schedule and the show isn’t on the schedule. I know this isn’t a season finale because there are still about 12 episodes left to air. My guess is that they are at least going to take the week to transition between Black Ink shows (the Chicago finale and the New York premiere both air tomorrow) and then they still have a few more weeks left in the year to air two more episodes to at least get this show to a proper midseason finale.
8. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2.542 million 0.7)- I’m not surprised with these numbers. I don’t think anyone should be surprised with them. I have to believe that ABC is treating this as if they believe it will be the final season of the show without saying so. Broadcast networks don’t premiere shows in December if they care about them. The only reason why this probably isn’t a dead show just yet is because they continue to be desperate to find at least one or two more freshman dramas that they can confidently renew for next season.
9. Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars (355,000 0.1)- I’ve seen some mixed results of Thursday and Friday shows returning from their Thanksgiving breaks. This show pretty obviously took the worst hit (of all the shows I highlight here). This show very obviously needs some help and I’m not sure what kind of tweaks can be done except for the possibility of returning to its roots and maybe doing another season featuring normal couples and not reality stars.
10. Ridiculousness (10:00 451,000 0.2; 10:30 470,000 0.2; 11:00 515,000 0.2, 11:30 480,000 0.2)- Four episodes without a whole lot of fanfare airing late on Friday night managed to pull out some average numbers. I suppose you would classify this show as being something that people watch because it’s on and they aren’t drawn to anything else. It works for MTV because they don’t have expectations on this night and most other shows would certainly find a way to do worse.
