10 Ratings Blurbs 5/22/12 Edition

Over the next 2 weeks this post will highlight all of the shows that are ending. What isn't experiencing a finale is just in the post to fill a space.

1. Grimm (5.10 million 1.6)- There are some people who think Grimm should have moved and other people who think Grimm should have stayed on Fridays. It’s staying on Fridays because in the end it was strong enough to stay put but not strong enough to try to fill one of NBC’s many schedule holes.

2. Supernatural (1.56 million 0.7)- This is one of the rare shows that actually gets moved off Fridays after essentially being sent to Fridays to die. Who knows what next season holds for Supernatural or The CW as a whole but it will be interesting to see.

3. Game of Thrones (3.864 million 2.0)- I don’t usually talk about HBO shows because their shows either have really good ratings or really bad ratings and there’s not much suspense because HBO likes to hand out renewals within the first 3 episodes (unless it’s an older show and they are considering ending it). Game of Thrones is no True Blood but it’s good enough to occupy the spring schedule before True Blood returns to take over summers.

4. Real Housewives of New Jersey (2.345 million 1.3)- There’s really nothing spectacularly different about these ratings, also these Bravo Housewives shows tend to start lower and trend up towards the end of the season anyway.

5. Real Housewives of Orange County (1.918 million 1.0)- I suppose the season is winding down because it feels like I’ve been looking at the ratings for this show forever but it’s still looking good for Bravo on this front.

6. Scandal (7.33 million 2.3)- Though this season finale for this show saw a season high in viewers and the demo, it was lifted purely off of the strength of Grey’s Anatomy. If Grey’s starts to show even more of its age (Grey’s Anatomy is going into its 9th season) then it will be Scandal and not Grey’s that suffers the brunt of that slump.

7. La La’s Full Court Life (1.580 million 0.9)- This got a little bit of a bump for the finale and it may end the season being VH1’s 2nd highest rated show of 2012 so far (pending ratings for part 2 of the Mob Wives reunion).

8. Celebrity Apprentice (6.86 million 2.2)-It’s not particularly good for a finale but since this is NBC we’re talking about it’s not really bad and that’s all that matters going into next season.

9. Keeping Up With the Kardashians (2.855 million 1.5)- This is usually another start low, end high show but this premiere really isn’t ‘low’ per se. It’s not high either so we will see if It holds steady or if it starts going up. We all know the Kardashians will do anything to get people to watch them.

10. The Game (2.079 million 1.1)- Now that BET is kicking off the main characters there really is no reason for the show to have a 7th season. I already think season 6 will start getting the same ratings it was getting that last season before The CW canceled it.
