As a child I wasn't a fan of Halloween. Now I'm still not a fan of Halloween and the evil in me hopes that there are no trick-or-treaters so I can keep all the Reese's cups to myself  (Don't judge me. They are mine and I was asked to buy them).

Glad this wasn't delayed too long. I really wasn't in the mood to wait around all night for ratings (Besides it's better to miss a few shows and add on to them later anyway).

To say 2010 was a disastrous year for VH1 would be an understatement. This was the year that VH1 premiered more shows than they had ever done in the history of their network and most of those shows were not successful. As you can imagine this was quite a difficult year for me to put ratings together given the sheer number of shows and the odd scheduling moves. As such a lot of shows are going to have incomplete information and for me to detail the circumstances surrounding these shows would be way too much for this one post so for this I’ll certainly take questions about them in the comments. In the meantime enjoy this post and if you’re new here take a look at the lists from previous years (2004-2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009).

There aren't too many notable changes to be made this month so really I'll have more of a headache with formatting than anything (Because its Sunday there shouldn't be any announcements made today and I'm a little strapped for time to make changes so any news that comes in over the next few days will go on next month's list). While I'm doing that you can always look at the lists from previous months. You can also kill time by going over to Bourgy and reading two fabulous Massie recaps of Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries.

This while pretty much accurate throws so much shade on the West Side (Mostly because the basic Chicago definition is when you live further west than you do north or south and since that doesn't take up very much space nobody knows how to draw that in a map).

I know I haven't posted much lately but I've been working on something very important to me personally and I really need to take that time to finally get it completed. I will try to tear myself away from that over the weekend and early next week to get some fresh posts up around here.

I have a true disdain for drunk people (Can't make this stuff up if you tried).

Here it is. The October list with 8 new shows and 2 older ones that really begged to be redone (I only choose to redo predictions if the ratings have changed enough to make me feel that something really needs to be said. If a show gets a little better or worse and I'm not compelled to say anything or the show ends before the new list comes around I'm more likely to just let what I said before stand). I think I'm a little too nice with these things. Time to get back to my roots and start getting meaner because these networks all seem to refuse to admit that they made a lot of bad choices this year [Full list here].

I thought about doing a list like this in some form for some time now but I wasn’t quite sure how to do it at first. I thought about doing it in a way that would somehow evaluate my predictions but it wouldn’t be right to do it that way because there aren’t enough shows that have been canceled yet to get a true sense of how my predictions turned out.

Forgive me all. Either I have a weird sense of humor or I'm still under the weather.

As promised I kept my word for today being the day where I would unveil the new look for my site. I chose today to be the day because I started this site on this day 6 months ago.

I will be locking the site tomorrow (October 4th) beginning sometime around 9am. When the lock starts it will stay that way until sometime in the afternoon or early evening while I’m loading in, testing and putting the final touches on the new design for the site. Hopefully this doesn’t bother too many people but I’m giving fair warning now so you’re not alarmed when you can’t get in.

I’ve been somewhat vocal about why this show shouldn’t have been renewed but since we are upon the date when season 2 is due to premiere I figure I might as well make my own post on this (I’ve been sick as hell for the last week and it’s pissing me off so that’s why I have so many posts today). I never watched season 1, I also have no intention to watch this new season so no this post won’t be about the issues I have with the show itself and I’m not going to kill myself watching just to have a post about that. It doesn’t work that way for me.

Yeah I decided to give you all a double with this one today. I won’t hold myself to doing one of these every week but I will do them whenever I see a press release that makes me roll my eyes, like this one.

This press release is about Bravo touting their success with part 1 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion. If there’s one pet peeve I have it’s this adding junk because the added number is the one that always gets thrown around and makes people think the show is bigger than it is. Then they wonder why the hell the show keeps getting renewed when the real average is like 30-50% of the inflated number. Unlike the Oxygen one this one will be much shorter.

I’ve thought about doing something like this for quite a while but I suppose time and the lack of motivation has kept me from doing so.

Anyway a pet peeve of mine is a press release with heavy PR spin. They bother me a lot (sometimes to the point where it is a little bit irrational and unjustified). I’m the kind of person who likes for things to be cut and dry so I need a press release to tell me what the title says it’s going to tell me (I also need them for ratings of hard to find shows).

There are a lot of shows to talk about, particularly broadcast shows, so I had a lot more to say than other weeks. [Full List Here]
