10 Ratings Blurbs 1/29/13 Edition

I'm not particularly moved by these ratings this week. Not even RHOA [Full Post Here].

1. Last Resort (5.48 million 1.2)- Sadly this show wasn’t meant to be but at least they gave this the dignity of airing all of its episodes (Unlike 666 Park Avenue which could return in the summer if they feel like it or Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23 which is gone with no word on if the remaining episodes will air). Now the timeslot will be taken over in a few weeks by Zero Hour and most likely the odds are against that show too.

2. Dallas (2.977 million 0.8)- I'm only surprised with these numbers because in all likelihood it's only downhill from here. So yes these numbers are surely disappointing for TNT but I don't think they are ready to hit the panic button yet.

3. Totally T-Boz (416,000 0.2)- I didn’t know this show only had an order for 4 episodes but since this was the 4th do know that it was the last because there’s no way TLC is renewing this (For that reason I don't have high hopes for Starter Wives Confidential tonight).

4. Beauty and the Beast (1.79 million 0.7)- The next few months are do or die for this show as there are only 2 options for this show that will be determined going forward. If the numbers hold then the show will get renewed and it will be separated from The Vampire Diaries, if the numbers drop then it’s getting canceled. There is no scenario where it will get renewed and stay behind The Vampire Diaries for another season (especially not if that TVD spinoff is a go).

5. Mob Wives (1.479 million 0.8)- VH1 is happy with these numbers but I think it’s a little bittersweet for them. They had to push the show back 2 hours because RHOA is impervious at 8pm and 9pm is the most vicious hour of the week for cable TV. They also realized that this show can’t launch anything so unless Stevie TV is on the horizon (a possibility but definitely not certain because they are launching a show at midnight in April) then this seems like a show that just has to keep soldiering on because the situation on Sunday is so dire for them.

6. American Horror Story: Asylum (2.288 million 1.3)- I think FX is ok with this show just being a decent performer. It’s not going to be a major hit but in 2 seasons it has proven that it can hold down the fort and do its job and for that FX is and should be grateful especially now since they are about to enter the time of year that usually sucks for them.

7. Glee (6.79 million 2.6)- In years past a lot of people would say that numbers like these after American Idol are horrible and the show deserves to be canceled. This year FOX has been so terrible that nobody really cares all that much about retention especially when this is up from the numbers it was getting when it was behind The X Factor.

8. Spartacus: War of the Damned (930,000 0.4)- For this show it is a little low. Since it’s the final season the numbers really don’t matter at all and even if they don’t increase this should still be the highest rated show on Starz this year.

9. Real Housewives of Atlanta (4.090 milllion 2.0)- I don’t know what if anything could have caused this increase because the show didn’t seem to share any viewer overlap with Mob Wives (Unless something happened on the show and I wouldn’t know since I don’t watch it).

10. Project Runway (1.890 million 0.6)- Lifetime really needs to stop doing the All Star seasons. I really think it’s killing this show by not giving fans enough time to miss the show. We’ll see where it goes from here but I’ll be surprised if it starts increasing by a lot.
