10 Ratings Blurbs: 6/14/16 Edition

It was a struggle to find 10 shows to put on this list this week.

1. Game of Thrones (7.600 million 3.9)- I have absolutely nothing to say about this show that I haven’t already said before. I just think it’s nice to put a dominant show on a list that lacks energy this week.

2. Keeping Up with the Kardashians (1.525 million 0.7)- These numbers are just fine with the network, but we know that the network, the producers and the people on this show all have a thirst for more. There is a belief that even after all this time, the show can and will do better. Right now, they are going to play out the string and hang their hat on the rest of the year being wildly successful.

3. The Challenge: Rivals III (745,000 0.4)- I have to say that this show is doing okay so far. There is nothing bad to say about these numbers.

4. Real Housewives of Orange County (1.431 million 0.5)- These are good numbers for a special. I’m guessing the premiere is next week. If so, it will be back on the list. I needed to fill a lot of space this week.

5. The Americans (768,000 0.2)- The renewal from a couple of weeks ago addressed everything that needed to be answered about this show. The next two seasons will be all about FX trying to garner more critical acclaim, finding a suitable replacement and giving the fans an amicable resolution.

6. Real Housewives of Dallas (949,000 0.3)- I’m going to put this back on the list next week since it is my understanding that this will only get a 1 part reunion. I’ll share my thoughts then.

7. Bad Girls Club: Twisted Sisters (556,000 0.3)- This season average ended up 4,000 viewers lower than season 1 (588,000) making it the lowest rated season ever. It would be noteworthy except for the fact that as I said 3 months ago, it is still the highest rated show on Oxygen.

8. Match Made in Heaven (555,000 0.2)- This is an improvement over the first 3 weeks. I want to say it’s because the viewers are coming back to Braxton Family Values and those higher ratings are slowly drifting over to this show. It’s a theory, but the numbers appear to be on a better trajectory than season 1 so far.

9. Scream: The TV Series (348,000 0.2)- You almost have to wonder if MTV randomly stuck the show at 11pm because they knew that renewing it was a mistake. I won’t call the show dead, but I’m really close to getting there. These numbers are awful and it is wasting some pretty good lead-ins.

10. Livin’ Lozada (343,000 0.1)- When this show was closer to 500,000 viewers, I didn’t have concerns about it. There were a ton of factors in the show’s favor that made the argument for getting the show renewed. Now that the show is drifting away from that mark, I have to wonder where the danger zone lies. I’m not quite certain where it is for a show like this.
