10 Ratings Blurbs 11/5/13 Edition

Things are beginning to slow down so there probably won't be much to choose from as the list will begin to shrink between now and the end of the year.

1. Beauty and the Beast (679,000 0.3)- It's looking more and more obvious that this show is not long for this world. The CW is so far experiencing a pretty good year and this was a show that really didn't deserve to come back. Now with free space becoming thin, this show is the first in line to be out by the end of the season.

2. Real Housewives of Atlanta (3.108 million 1.4)- Good start but last season started well and trailed off before getting strong at the end. It's a long season. Far too early to say anything definitive yet other than it will end the year as Bravo's #1 show once again.

3. Teen Mom 3 (1.147 million 0.7; Clip Show: 776,000 0.4)- The troubles keep on coming. This may be bad but their new shows are still performing worse. I don't know what MTV is going to do here but the decision is sure to be interesting because it can honestly go either way and not be very surprising.

4. Real Husbands of Hollywood (1.440 million 0.6)- At first I wanted to see how this show would do after the first week because obviously that was inflated. Since then these numbers have been noticeably lower than season 1. Whereas season 1 was on par with The Game. This season it is beginning to trend lower than some of those second tier BET scripted shows and that would surely make it an underperformer.

5. The X Factor (Tuesday: 4.80 million 1.5; Thursday Clip Show; 3.25 million 0.8)- Hiatus or not these are some sad numbers. I can understand the Thursday number being low because it was a contingency plan (as in if there was a Game 7 for the World Series then it wasn't going to air) but the Tuesday one is ridiculous and really makes a lot of people wonder if FOX should just go with more scripted shows next fall especially if any of their midseason shows hit and The Following returns with similar numbers to season 1.

6. Black Ink Crew (2.396 million 1.3)- People should take notice of 2 things here. The first is that the ratings for this show have increased every week since the premiere (and remember this show took a 2 week break for the TLC movie). The second thing is that it is now increasing the margin it had over its season 1 numbers. Because of those things, from a ratings standpoint this show is all but assured to get a third season.

7. Ravenswood (1.100 million 0.5)- This is a massive second week drop. The drop is so alarming that it caused ABC Family to immediately tweak their January schedule and postpone Twisted in favor of airing 5 more episodes of this show. Clearly ABC Family is going to need all 10 weeks to make a decision on this show.

8. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (1.592 million 0.6)- This is low and if I remember correctly last season started slightly higher and that was considered to be low. Like RHOA this has a very long way to go but if it doesn't improve very much it won't be the only Real Housewives show that has begun to fade this year.

9. Drop Dead Diva (1.781 million 0.5)- At this point this show should be grateful and nervous about the network it airs on. Fans can take solace in the fact that they are going to get another season but they may also be wary that next season could also be the last with the crazy decisions that have been made over the last 2 years.

10. Real Housewives of Miami (Sunday: 1.374 million 0.6; Monday 957,000 0.4)- This show really shouldn't get all of the help that it gets to try to post acceptable ratings. Either Bravo is going to admit that the show can't stand on itself and stop throwing away money trying to make it happen or they need to get highly creative with their scheduling so they can make people forget how much of a failure it is. I would hope they pick the former this time but one cannot rule out the latter when it comes to this show.
