10 Ratings Blurbs 10/29/13 Edition

It really should be more than 10 shows on here this week but I had to get some comments in on the more important ones so those are below and just know that The Walking Dead got renewed today (Probably will not use that as the headline picture for Thursday's scorecard post though).

1. Project Runway All Stars (1.510 million 0.4)- Lifetime seems to be content with these numbers. They aren’t really great but they aren’t really poor. Still they struggle mightily with their reality shows and they obviously have no clue about what they can or should do with their scripted shows so this just hangs in there and blends in with the crowd.

2. Love & Hip Hop 4 (2.997 million 1.5)- This is a little bit higher than I had this pegged for returning. It could drop like last season or it could pull a late season growth spurt like seasons 1 and 2. If the latter happens then it can challenge Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta to be the top show of the year.

3. Awkward (1.561 million 0.8)- Personally I think the best MTV can hope for with this half of the season is to try not to bleed any more viewers. There is really nothing else they can ask for because I’m not sure the viewers this show had are going to come back.

4. Tough Love: Co-Ed (Episode 9: 304,000 0.2, Finale: 270,000 0.1)- I really have to believe that this is the end for this show. The numbers have been horrible this season and this was a show that never really needed much help. Since VH1 doesn’t have another non-Monday show that can offer help the best they can do here is just let this go and work on some plan that can be more successful for them (my take is just break up those Monday shows and leave some on Monday and put the rest on another night like Wednesday).

5. Ravenswood (2.116 million 0.9)- I’m a little leery here. This is a pretty good hold from Pretty Little Liars and certainly better than what every other show in this position has done but the numbers themselves only match what an average episode of Pretty Little Liars get. With absolutely no help and no other scripted show airing now for ABC Family this show has the misfortune of trying to make something out of a generally dead period on their schedule. It may need to put up numbers similar to Twisted to have a fighting chance.

6. Grimm (6.15 million 1.8)- Very good start for this show. Probably one of the few things NBC hasn’t managed to ruin over the last 3 years.

7. Snooki & JWOWW(1.771 million 1.0)- Basically picking up where it left off last season. For MTV that’s great because they still don’t have very much going right for them this year.

8. Chrissy & Mr. Jones 2 (2.894 million 1.5)- This here is the main reason why people want their own spinoffs. If you get a good break like this then it will be far too difficult for the show to slip up and ruin its chances to get another season. All it needs is 1 or 2 high rated episodes carry the average when it starts falling. This show will have to have a drop of epic proportions to not get a season 3 and history says that steep drop (by that I mean more than 1.5 million viewers from this point) is not going to come.

9. Pretty Little Liars (3.184 million 1.0)- Good showing for the Halloween episode but that’s about all that can be said here since it will now be gone until January.

10. I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding (Tuesday: 1.393 million 0.5; Sunday: 2.280 million 0.9)- Simply put if Bravo and NeNe can agree on doing another season then it will happen. This show basically mirrored the path of Kim Z’s wedding special (with slightly better but not by much numbers) and we all know what happened with that. I don’t agree with the method but you can’t turn your back on something that works.
