10 Ratings Blurbs 5/14/13 Edition

Not much to say here today. Too busy with other things [Full List Here].

1. 2 Broke Girls (8.94 million 3.0)- Tomorrow is the moment of truth. We will see if CBS believes that this show can truly be the next great comedy anchor of the future and allow it to retain its timeslot or we will see if they think another show is better suited for the role.

2. Real World: Portland (895,000 0.6)- We all know the show had a terrible start, then it began to improve its numbers. Now it is falling back again. The fate of this show is already hanging by a thread so I’m not sure what MTV is thinking at the moment with this show.

3. Revenge (6.12 million 1.7)- I think this show is really going to test ABC next season. They have a lot of shows to promote over the summer but this needs to get some of that promotion too. This absolutely cannot start the season where it is or else ABC will be in a tough position where they end up renewing a totally undeserving show this time next year all because they hope to sell it off to a cable network.

4. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (3.06 million 1.7)- So far the show is trending just a bit under season 1 however there is a chance that it could match or overtake season 1. Season 1’s growth came as the season progressed and this season is beginning to take the same trajectory. I think that the NBA Playoffs may be suppressing the audience just a little bit so I’m curious to see how the show performs with no NBA competition.

5. Model Employee (148,000 0.1)- I’m not surprised that the premiere numbers for this show were this low and nobody else should either. Enjoy it while it lasts because it’s not getting another season with numbers like this (Hmm guess I was right about this one. This show moves to 11pm beginning tonight, May 15th, Off Pitch will air 2 episodes until the end of its run. Consider both shows canceled. They will air all of their episodes with minimal repeats).

6. The Game (1.961 million 1.0)- I still think BET was a little hasty in renewing the show so early but since it’s turning out to have numbers that aren’t all that much lower than Real Husbands of Hollywood you have to believe that they don’t have much of a choice in whether to keep the show going.

7. Fashion Star (2.42 million 0.5)- This is downright terrible even for Fridays and yet NBC is still shortsighted enough to say that they haven’t come to a decision on this one yet. I’m not sure why they feel this decision is so hard to make.

8. Breaking Amish: Brave New World (2.14 million 0.9)- For a spinoff with what I perceive to be not all that much buzz in the last few weeks this is ok. I can’t say anything good or bad about these numbers.

9. Once Upon a Time (7.33 million 2.3)- Like Revenge, it’s going to be really hard for this show not to get a 4th season but even with ABC promising to amend how they air this show I’m not sure people will be so patient with this show taking such an extended hiatus and the numbers are already shaky.

10. Game of Thrones (4.84 million 2.4)- It’s down from last week but strangely almost everything on TV was down this week and it’s a little inexplicable unless we’re going to go with the excuse that everyone was having Mother’s Day dinner at the same time.
