10 Ratings Blurbs: 6/24/14 Edition

I don't think I'll be feeling True Blood much this season. Random I know but that's how I feel. The same can be said with the ratings for these shows this week.

1. Teen Wolf (2.184 million 0.9)- These numbers are decent. I see nothing here that would give MTV any concern. These are the kind of numbers they expected and now the hope as always is to continue putting up numbers like this.

2. Hit the Floor (2.450 million 1.3)- This is a season high for the show and personally I am unimpressed. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta has been flirting with the 4 million viewer mark for 2 weeks and again these are the best numbers this show has done all season. It makes the Single Ladies cancellation even more mind-boggling because this show really isn’t doing that much better even though this show has more help.

3. Drop Dead Diva (1.662 million 0.4)- This show went out quietly and given the turmoil this show has gone through over the last 2 seasons it’s not a bad thing. Lifetime was never going to give the final season or episode of this show a big sendoff. In their eyes they have bigger problems to worry about.

4. True Blood (4.031 million 2.2)- The great thing about final season shows is that the ratings don’t matter unless they are really good. This isn’t a phenomenal start but it isn’t a terrible start either. The numbers just look disappointing because of how Game of Thrones performed this season.

5. America’s Got Talent (Tuesday: 11.42 million 2.6; Sunday: 8.12 million 2.1)- NBC stuck a last minute Sunday episode here to see if they could stunt the Rising Star premiere on ABC. While that premiere didn’t get much traction nobody will truly know if this is to blame until next week. Still it was a risk NBC took and it didn’t appear to hurt this show too much even with the strong competition elsewhere on Sunday.

6. Catfish: The TV Show (1.831 million 1.0)- Summer is quite restrictive with the lack of broadcast shows and all so I’m stuck repeating shows that I may have brought up over the last 2 weeks. This is one of those shows and the ratings haven’t changed much to sway my opinion of it. If you need a reminder then just know I think the ratings for this show are good.

7. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (1.730 million 0.6)- This show really isn’t a standout show on TLC anymore. The ratings are and have been good enough to keep getting renewed and I believe the show will continue to follow that mold this season but at this point everyone has to acknowledge that there won’t be any kind of major growth with this show at this point of its existence.

8. Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2.194 million 1.2)- Nothing has changed from what I said a few weeks ago. This show is in a holding pattern and it will stay there until someone finally decides to break the stalemate.

9. Married to Medicine (1.706 million 0.7)- Bravo knows this is basically a RHOA dependent show. Apparently they are more than ok with it because they renewed another show in the exact same position with similar ratings as this one. Could this show be doing better? Yes. Should this show be doing better? Yes. Will Bravo expect better? Who knows but it definitely won’t be for the remainder of this season.

10. The Haves and the Have Nots (2.761 million 0.9)- This show isn’t looking to be as strong as it was with the last batch of episodes but the show is still doing very well. In the eyes of OWN execs this show has nothing to prove so being off by a few hundred thousand viewers is nothing to be concerned about.
