10 Ratings Blurbs: 1/7/14 Edition

My goodness it is so hard to find a picture from Bravo. Wonder if they have a flash supported photo gallery because those things never work right on my laptop. Anyway here are the numbers. Light on premieres because I'm holding back some shows for a post I'm making on Thursday.

1. Love & Hip Hop (2.889 million 1.6)- Last week was a down week and this week things got better and got back to normal. It’s not 3 million viewers but it is close and that is all that matters.

2. Mob Wives (1.396 million 0.7)- So here we are 5 episodes in now and the numbers are still trying to hold steady. In my opinion the show still has a long way to fall to be in danger and the numbers are actually up over season 3. Whether or not VH1 views that as a good thing remains to be seen but with no momentum outside of Monday they better wake up and smell the coffee. Mob Wives without trying a million spinoffs is still a reasonably steady show.

3. Revenge (6.69 million 1.8)- This show really needed some kind of jolt to get those numbers up and this is a start. ABC can only hope that these numbers hold for the rest of the month since the plan is to take February off.

4. Two and a Half Men (8.74 million 2.2)- The new year might have given new life for some shows but this isn’t one of them. Nothing on the CBS landscape has changed and I doubt much will change going forward so everything at this point is just left up to what CBS has in their future plans.

5. Real Housewives of Atlanta (4.519 million 2.1)- This show is just on a tear and that’s not something you see with a reality show, a show in its 6th season or a show that didn’t have any kind of cast changes coming into the season. Perhaps the show is feasting on the fact that there is no competition at the moment but whatever is going on is making the people at Bravo very happy.

6. Ridiculousness (10:00: 1.243 million 0.5; 10:30: 1.365 million 0.6)- It appears as if this show is coming in at just about the same levels as the back half of last season. Perhaps MTV was expecting it and I don’t think they are too concerned with this but if their Monday ratings are this low as well then they might be looking at themselves asking what’s going on to cause viewers to soundly reject the network.

7. Grimm (5.68 million 1.5)- We’re not looking at anything impressive here and we’re not looking at numbers we haven’t seen before when it comes to this show. This show has a job. This show is meeting the expectations for that job and for the most part people will continue to look to NBC for more pressing matters such as how hard they will bombard the expected influx of viewers watching the Winter Olympics to give their network and their shows not named The Voice or The Blacklist another chance.

8. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (1.826 million 0.8)- This is down a little bit from last week. Consequently VH1 was up from last week so there is probably a shared audience here because I am not willing to attribute it to football (but a few viewers could have gone to that as well. Anything is possible).

9. Elementary (9.04 million 1.9)- Several years ago this show would have been on the chopping block and people would be asking when this show would be canceled. CBS has not had much luck with their Thursday schedule this year (not counting the Big Bang Theory) but because this is a drama in a sea of comedies, not many people really look at this show as being a problem. Besides there is always Sunday or Friday if the show’s numbers become too problematic but a move like that will not happen this season.

10. Vanderpump Rules (1.497 million 0.7)- I can’t say I find a fault this show this week. It’s trying to hang in there and only being .1 demo points off from RHBH is not a bad thing at all. It is starting to inch closer to that safe territory in my opinion.
