10 Ratings Blurbs: 11/1/16 Edition

The last two days proved to be brutal for a lot of shows.

1. Real Housewives of Orange County (1.812 million 0.7)- This didn’t finish as strong as it did last season. It had moments where it looked like it was going to get there, but the rise never happened. The old show continues to map out the blueprint for how to deal with a veteran ensemble reality show.

2. Love & Hip Hop Hollywood (1.870 million 0.9)- This show had real potential to build on last season and finally dethrone Love & Hip Hop Atlanta as the top show on the network. Things never panned out and these numbers are looking to be down some 300k viewers from last season. It’s good enough to get renewed.

3. Little Women: Atlanta (1.344 million 0.6)- The beginning of the season was a bit stronger than the end, but these aren’t disastrous numbers. I wouldn’t classify this as the strongest franchise, but Lifetime doesn’t have much going for them and this is a stable show.

4. Real Housewives of New Jersey (1.670 million 0.6)- We see that this show put up what would be considered average ratings this season. It clearly lost the momentum it had before the long hiatus, but that doesn't mean the show can't get it back. It has certainly done well enough to return next year.

5. The Strain (886,000 0.4)- We already know that the next season will be the final one for the show. It tends to get buried here on Sundays, but if it returns with these numbers next year, FX will have nothing to be disappointed about.

6. Don't Be Tardy (694,000 0.3)- I mentioned a few weeks ago that I felt this show’s ratings were hovering close to the danger zone. That is still true today, but now the ratings are slipping under the safety line. The numbers need to stabilize fast.

7. Supergirl (2.217 million 0.6)- I would feel uncomfortable about these numbers if this were the only show that took a hit last night. Most shows on TV saw lower ratings.

8. Grown & Sexy (926,000 0.5)- I’m not sure why VH1 thought people wanted to see grown people in Halloween costumes at a pre-taped, staged party. Even with my criticism, this could have done a whole lot worse.

9. Bad Girls Club: Social Disruption (514,000 0.2)- Three weeks ago, this show was renewed and saw season high ratings. Two weeks ago, Oxygen did one of their mind-numbing random breaks. These numbers lost the momentum it had before the break and fell right back to where the season started.

10. Ru Paul's All Stars Drag Race (Logo Airing: 166,000 0.1)- I'm not sure I understand the decision of airing the reunion 2 weeks after the finale. I think the numbers were hurt from that. Despite this showing, I do think the show has done well enough to earn another All Stars season on Logo. I don't know if VH1 will want to come back on board again.
