Basketball Wives and Power rebound from last week's miserable numbers. Catfish and The Challenge got off to pretty decent starts while Real Housewives of Orange County started a little low. Love & Hip Hop Atlanta goes out quietly, but I have thoughts about another former VH1 show.

I had no expectations that Hit the Floor would match its VH1 numbers on BET. The long indecision about its fate, the weird, random, series finale looking wedding special and the move to a different network are all factors that would hurt the numbers of any show. Where it started was not a good place. The last 2 BET scripted shows that have aired in that 10pm Tuesday spot have struggled to average better than 500,000 viewers. One of those shows has been canceled (The Quad), the other is still up in the air (In Contempt). For this show to start below that mark has to trouble the people at BET. It has to scare them that they still have another VH1 castoff in The Breaks still in the pipeline and that those shows (as troubled as their numbers were on VH1), still benefited from those strong Love & Hip Hop lead-ins, which is something that BET doesn't have and can't mimic with any of their own shows.
