10 Ratings Blurbs: 4/2/19 Edition

I could have thrown up a list several hours ago, but there were a few too many shows to talk about this week and I couldn't ignore them.

1. The Walking Dead (5.109 million 1.9)- I’m not sure anyone really knows what AMC wants to do with this show. There’s a chorus of people who believe the show is knocking on death’s door. There’s a chorus of people who just want to know if there’s a focused plan going forward. There’s also a chorus of people who believe the show can go on in some unidentifiable form for several more years. These numbers say the show still has some life in it. I don’t know what it says beyond that.

2. Real Housewives of Atlanta (2.141 million 0.8)- Like basically everything on TV, the ratings are down, but it still manages to be Bravo’s highest rated show. There could be a bit of a cast shakeup coming, but it should definitely be back for another season.

3. Keeping Up with the Kardashians (1.296 million 0.6)- For all the media shenanigans of the last several weeks, it is a little pathetic that the premiere only came in at about the high water mark from last season. It continues to be the constant conundrum for E!. The show is way too old and expensive to be worth keeping around, but they still can’t find anything else to do better.

4. Veep (533,000 0.2)- This is going to be the quieter of the veteran HBO shows ending this spring. The numbers may get a small bump when Game of Thrones returns, but it won’t be very large and that too will depend on how huge those numbers eventually end up being. HBO is really good at creating frenzied hype for their most popular shows.

5. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (916,000 0.2)- I feel as if this show is going to spend the rest of its life in timeshare mode. Since we now know that The CW will let go of their DC shows to make room for other shows, I’m of the belief that this show may be the next top target to end in the next couple of years.

6. Little Women Atlanta (682,000 0.2)- All of the Little Women shows have been off the air for months. I still believe the break was needed because they were basically airing nonstop while their numbers dwindled. These numbers aren’t too far off from last season and that means we’ll have to see where the show settles.

7. Legacies (925,000 0.3)- This was probably one of the more surprising renewals from the big dump a while ago, but given the developments over the last month, (two, long-running shows will end next season) it doesn’t look like a terrible decision. It will have a space somewhere on the schedule.

8. Project Runway All Stars (756,000 0.1)- This show was always shakier than the main show, but it had started to find its way right before the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Unfortunately, this show was one of the quieter casualties of that debacle and while it could see new life again, I’m not certain it will with how mediocre the main show has performed on its return to Bravo.

9. Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition (441,000 0.2)- This is actually part 2 of the Waka Flocka/Tammy Rivera wedding special. Part 1 did a little better than this, but this was obviously a bridge to keep something on air until Braxton Family Values returns.

10. Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists (235,000 0.1)- Freeform has had a miserable time trying to establish their identity since the rebrand. They hoped this show would recapture some of the magic as the show spun off from and it doesn’t look like that’s going to materialize. This is a pretty deep hole and the only way out now is to try to show some positive momentum upward.
