I’ve written many variations of this post in the Bourgy comments and I’m far too lazy to try to locate any of them so this post will serve as the be-all-end-all source for this topic.

As the TV Broadcast season cranks up you will see the words ’18-49 demo’ tossed around in terms of ratings (if you read stuff online. If you watch TV then all the commercials will throw out viewer numbers to make you think the show is a hit). What you need to know is that for broadcast shows, the 18-49 demo is the sword that all shows live and die by and if they aren’t great then total viewers be damned because the show is still going to get canceled. TVBTN has a great post that breaks down what demos are without overwhelming you with words so check that out if you aren’t familiar with it or if you would like to see the updated 2012-2013 season stats.

For the first time in a while I think I'll finally get to have a weekend to myself (too bad it's only this weekend).

These shows are starting to go through another huge transition period as the summer shows end and the fall shows begin. That means the ratings will be generally higher but the stakes will be higher too.

Well this is a first. I actually have a show on here that had it's fate decided just moments ago (I write these posts 1-3 days in advance so that's why I did not substitute it for another show. Also this month was very thin in eligible shows too).

I feel really tired today. Too tired to do any work actually but I suppose I"ll try to get stuff done later.

I actually have a lot to say here today but I also have something to ask. First if you haven’t you can see the full ratings list at Bourgy.

Now for the favor. I am taking suggestions for my Cable Predictions post for Monday. I only have 2 shows at the moment that I know I am writing on and I would rather not have to pick 8 shows out of thin air to write about. So I will take suggestions here and just remember that they have to be currently airing cable shows that haven’t already been renewed or canceled. Also keep in mind that there are certain networks that I don’t see ratings for (Logo and any show not named Braxton Family Values on WE are big culprits). So yes any suggestions I get before Saturday would be a big help and you can leave your suggestions here or basically any post on Bourgy (as long as you call me EA or Matic over there but I’ll still see it).

So if you come here enough you know very well that I am not fond of holidays…at all. For reasons that I won’t express and boredom I have decided to make what will potentially be a series of posts (written sometime on or near said holiday that I don’t like) about why I think the holiday in question sucks (Oh yes...I'm pretty sure the picture is old but idgaf how old it is because it's funny).
